General Local Elections 2022

• One (1) Mayor for the Town of Lake Cowichan; and
• Four (4) Councillors for the Town of Lake Cowichan.
• Seven (7) School Board Trustees for the Cowichan Valley School District - School District 79.

Additional advance voting opportunities will also be provided for citizens prior to the General Election Day.

Nomination period begins at 9:00 a.m. local time on August 30, 2022 and ends at 4:00 p.m. local time on September 9, 2022. Completed nomination documents must be delivered to the to the Chief Election Officer, or designate at the Town Office temporarily located in the former Island Savings Credit Union building at 38 King George Street North, Lake Cowichan, BC between the hours of 9:00 a.m. on and 4:00 p.m, excluding weekends and statutory holidays and by no later than the close of the nomination period at 4.00 p.m. on September 9, 2022.
